A little background about how Tarte & Berry was formed, the perfect partnership…
In 2011 I saw an advert for a cookery course at the Tante Marie Culinary Academy and having always loved cooking I instinctively knew it was something I should enrol on. I left my job at the time, signed up to their intensive Cordon Bleu course and trained how to be a chef. It was the best decision I ever made!!
I was particularly interested in the pastry and baking side and so after my graduation I worked as a Head Pastry Chef in London restaurants and also worked for Betty’s as a confectioner, finishing and decorating their cakes and patisserie.
Tarte & Berry has enabled me to use the trusted recipes which I developed over time, to create a wide range of high quality artisan traybakes. We insist on using only great quality ingredients, which is why supplying high-end retailers with our products is a perfect match for a foodie like myself and I’m so excited to see where the business takes us!

Whilst Jane was training as a Cordon Bleu pastry chef I was not long into my career in Food PR and Marketing and becoming more aware of how important good quality ingredients are to creating a reputable brand.
It was 2014 when we noticed that the UK market was crying out for high quality traybakes. Jane and I would forever be trying out new places to eat particularly going for tea and cake! We were often disappointed by the flat, uniform and overly bland traybake products such as flapjacks and brownies. We decided that we were going to launch a bakery brand which people could trust.
We are proud to be working with many high-end retailers such as Selfridges, Not on the High Street, Harvey Nichols and Waterstones. We have also worked with the likes of Topshop, Bloom & Wild and have been voted Best 12 Brownies in the UK by Delicious Magazine. I cannot wait to see where our treats will be this time next year, having had the most fantastic three years since the launch of Tarte & Berry!
