Hello to all of our lovely T&B followers. We hope you are all well and keeping safe ?
We would like to let you know that sadly Tarte & Berry will not be re-opening as lockdown eases. It has been an INCREDIBLE six years for us growing and running the business from scratch, but we have made the decision that the time has now come to say goodbye to the world of chocolate brownies.
As difficult as lockdown has been, it has allowed us the time to really think about our priorities going forwards. We’re both ready to start new chapters and want to focus on other exciting areas of our lives and unfortunately running such a demanding business doesn’t allow for much else!
Trust us when we say it wasn’t an easy decision to make, running a cake company with your sister/best friend is literally the best thing in the world ? & we’ve got the most amazing memories to take away from it. From baking in Jane’s little home kitchen in 2014, to supplying the likes of Selfridges & Harvey Nichols, and selling OVER 1 MILLION BROWNIES from our very own bakery, it has been a dream come true ☺?♀️?
THANK YOU SO MUCH to every single customer who has supported us on our journey. So many wonderful ups and also of course the downs (shout out also to the best friends & family who helped us through the tough times! The food industry is relentless and a steep learning curve for two sisters who had never run a business before!
Who knows, perhaps T&B will return one day, in some form or other. Until that day arrives we will have such fond memories of all the countless food shows and markets, our amazing customers, the delicious recipe creations, our dedicated and loyal staff (Libby and Tracey, who stuck with us to the end, you are both super talented), and of course our very surreal Royal visit in 2018 ??
